The wall in front of Ben Holmes
Vienna Vikings are the most dominant team in the AFLE this season, and no part of their roster better explains why than the offensive line. Ben Holmes has been sacked just once all season. That number does not happen by accident.

Depth that most teams can only dream of
What makes the Vikings‘ offensive line so difficult to deal with is not just the quality at the top, it is the depth behind it. Clemens Walz, David Culebras, Aleksandar Milanovic, Oliver Durc, Lars Leutgeweger, Nick Wiens, Lukas Holub, Felix Lepper, Brendan Oswin, David Rauter und Nick Holub give Vienna a group of linemen that few teams across Europe can match. Several of them have starting-level ability, and that means the Vikings can rotate, manage injuries and maintain a standard that never drops too far from week to week. That kind of depth is built over time and it shows in how consistently Vienna perform.
Holmes stays clean, the run game thrives
The results speak for themselves. Holmes has been sacked just once all season, a number that would be remarkable in any league. When a quarterback has that kind of protection, everything else becomes easier. Holmes can go through his reads, trust his receivers and make good decisions without the pressure that disrupts even the best quarterbacks in the league. The Vikings‘ rushing offense has also benefited directly, ranking second in the entire league. When the offensive line controls the line of scrimmage the way Vienna’s does, both the run and the pass game thrive.
Already tested, already delivered
This is not a unit that has had an easy ride. Vienna have already faced the Panthers Wroclaw defensive front and the Rhein Fire pass rush, two of the tougher defensive challenges in the league, and held their own on both occasions. That is the clearest measure of how good this group really is. Performing against quality opposition is what separates genuine depth from a good-looking roster on paper.
Paris Lights up next
The next test comes against Paris Lights, a team that will not make life easy for any offensive line. But if there is one group in this league equipped to handle that challenge, it is the men standing in front of Ben Holmes. Vienna’s offensive line has been the quiet engine of a 6-0 start, and there is no sign of it slowing down.
