The AFLE is looking for officials and you could be one of them
The American Football League Europe is opening its doors to officials ahead of the 2027 season. If you have a passion for the game and want to be part of one of Europe’s fastest growing football leagues, this is your opportunity.

Officials are at the heart of the game
The role of an official goes well beyond enforcing the rules. Officials protect players, uphold the integrity of competition and help ensure that every game is decided by what happens on the field. They are also central to football as a media product, visible on every play, in every broadcast and at every level of the experience. Without them, there is no game.
A professional structure for a professional league
The AFLE Department of Officiating exists to provide officials with the foundation they deserve. The league treats its officials as athletes, investing in professional structures, continuous development and strong support throughout the season. The department works with leading organizations to deliver modern training and development standards and serves as the link between officials, the league’s other departments and the clubs competing in the AFLE.
Walt Anderson, who joined the AFLE as part of its officiating clinic and brings experience from the NFL, shared his impression of what he found: “I have been very impressed by the passion of everyone for the sport and the dedication and commitment they got, all of them, in terms of working as good as they can in the role they have got for the game.”
