Rhein Fire Roll Over Alpine Rams With Dominant Performance

Bahar throws five touchdowns as Fire make it look easy from the opening whistle

Final Score: Rhein Fire at Alpine Rams – 45:13

Only One Direction From the Start

This one was over almost before it began. The Alpine Rams could not get their offense going from the very first drive, and turnovers kept putting their defense in impossible positions. The key issue was third down conversion. The Rams simply could not turn possession into yards and were forced off the field repeatedly, giving Rhein Fire more and more opportunities to extend their lead. Three offensive interceptions, one by Justin Howell and two more by Nazir Streater, summed up a difficult evening for Alpine’s offense. By halftime, Rhein Fire had built a 38-point lead and the contest was effectively over.

Streater and Bahar Shine

Nazir Streater was everywhere on defense, and his two interceptions were the standout individual moments of the first half. On the other side of the ball, Kenji Bahar was at his best. The Rhein Fire quarterback threw for over 360 yards and five passing touchdowns, distributing the ball to eight different receivers and showing the full range of what this offense can do when it clicks.

Rams Respond in the Second Half

To their credit, the Alpine Rams showed more in the second half. The defense tightened up and held Rhein Fire to just one more touchdown, while the offense finally managed to put points on the board twice. It was not enough to make a game of it, but it was a better showing and something to build on heading into the break.

Bye Week Ahead

Both teams now enter their bye week in Week 7. For Rhein Fire, it is a chance to stay sharp and fine-tune ahead of the final stretch. For the Alpine Rams, the time off comes at the right moment to analyse what went wrong, get healthy and reset ahead of what remains of the season.
