Paris Lights sign defensive back Marciano Rodrigues following Peter Lundström injury

The Paris Lights have been forced to make another roster adjustment early in their inaugural season, signing defensive back Marciano Rodrigues after placing Peter Lundström on injured reserve. It is the second injury-related signing in quick succession for the Lights, who previously responded to Tristen Wallace’s IR move by bringing in CFL veteran Shawn Bane Jr.

A versatile defensive addition

Rodrigues, 27, is a safety who can also line up as an outside linebacker, giving the Paris defense valuable flexibility in how they deploy him. Most recently he played for the Hildesheim Invaders, where he recorded 44 tackles and proved himself as a reliable and productive presence in the defensive backfield.

With Rodrigues now on board, the Paris Lights have moved quickly to maintain depth in their secondary and keep their defensive unit as competitive as possible despite the injury setbacks early in the season.
