Paris Lights dominate Firenze Red Lions behind QB Evan Hillock
The Paris Lights delivered one of their most complete offensive performances of the AFLE season, overpowering the Firenze Red Lions with more than 500 total yards and a final score of 45 – 26.
Quarterback Evan Hillock led the way as Paris consistently moved the ball through the air and exposed a Firenze defense that had no answer for the Lights’ passing attack.
Evan Hillock powers the Paris passing attack
Hillock was outstanding today. Coming back from an injury, he completed over 75% of his passes for over 300 yards and four touchdowns while throwing one interception. The Paris quarterback finished with a near-perfect efficiency rating and repeatedly found open receivers against the Red Lions secondary.
His biggest target was Seth Robertson, who turned in a dominant performance with seven receptions for over 100 yards and two touchdowns. Armand Soulerot added to the offensive power with his 4.4 yards per carry and a touchdown on the ground.
Paris offense tops 400 total yards
The Lights finished with over total yards, including 300+ passing yards, and consistently won the battle for field position and possession. Their offensive balance and efficiency kept the Firenze defense on the field for long stretches and prevented the Red Lions from generating any momentum.
Paris also controlled the game situationally, converting key drives and limiting mistakes throughout the afternoon.
Red Lions struggle on third down
Firenze’s offense never found a consistent rhythm. The Red Lions converted just over 33% of their third-down attempts, making it difficult to sustain drives against the Paris defense.
Quarterback Salum threw for over 200 yards and one touchdown, but had a completion rate of just over 50%.
Lights can build some momentum late in the season
The biggest storyline was the gap between the two offenses. Paris looked sharp, explosive, and efficient, while Firenze struggled to move the ball for most of the game and if they did, they had problems converting yards into points.
With Hillock playing at a high level and the passing attack producing more than 300 yards, the Lights showed the kind of offensive ceiling that can make them a dangerous team heading into the final stretch of the AFLE season, although this marked their first win since June 20th.
