Vikings Storm Out of the Gate
Everything pointed to a comfortable Vikings win after the first quarter. Vienna scored three touchdowns to the Panthers‘ one and looked every bit the dominant, unbeaten side they had been all season. The Panthers were chasing the game and the signs were not good.
The Comeback Begins
Bit by bit, Wroclaw found their footing. They cut the deficit to seven points before halftime and carried that momentum into the break. Whatever was said in the locker room worked. The second half belonged entirely to the Panthers, as their offense marched confidently down the field on drive after drive and their defense stepped up when it mattered most, forcing turnovers on downs, earning punts and pulling in an interception to keep the Vikings at bay.
Winning Without the Run
What made the Panthers‘ victory even more impressive was how they achieved it. The rushing game was virtually non-existent with just 37 rushing yards for the entire game, but the receivers picked up the slack with 294 receiving yards and came up huge in critical situations. The Vikings actually outgained the Panthers by over 200 total yards and committed 11 fewer penalties. On paper the numbers favour Vienna. On the scoreboard, it was Wroclaw.

The Vienna Vikings travel to the Alpine Rams in Week 13 with the chance to clinch the South East Conference Championship despite the loss. The Panthers Wroclaw stay home to face the London Warriors in a game with serious playoff seeding implications.
