London Warriors to host Panthers Wroclaw at the Cherry Red Records Stadium

The London Warriors have announced the Cherry Red Records Stadium in the Wimbledon district of London as the venue for their first ever AFLE home game. The Warriors will welcome the Panthers Wroclaw to the capital in what promises to be a historic occasion for both the organization and British American football.

A stadium with a story

The Cherry Red Records Stadium is a ground with deep roots in London sport. Home of AFC Wimbledon, the stadium was built on the site of the former Wimbledon Stadium and opened in 2020, representing an 18-year journey for the club to return to the area after years away. The stadium currently holds around 9,000 spectators with the potential to expand to 20,000, and also serves as home to rugby league club the London Broncos. It has previously hosted women’s football cup finals and a range of community events, making it one of the most versatile and well-connected venues in the city.

A historic first home game

For the London Warriors, playing their first ever AFLE home game at the Cherry Red Records Stadium is a significant moment. The Warriors bring American football to a venue steeped in sporting tradition, giving fans in the capital a memorable and accessible location to experience the AFLE for the first time. The matchup against the Panthers Wroclaw sets up an exciting early-season clash between two ambitious teams ready to make their mark in European football.
