Firenze Red Lions sign Italian receiver Claudio Caruso

The Firenze Red Lions have added another wide receiver to their roster, signing 34-year-old Italian Claudio Caruso ahead of their debut season in 2026. Caruso joins from the Elephants Catania and brings a wealth of experience to the Red Lions‘ receiving corps.

Experience to complement the group

With Caruso now on board, the Red Lions have four wide receivers on their roster. He joins Spanish receiver Aaron David, young talent Gregori Giorgi and American Devin Carter, giving the team a diverse and well-rounded group at the position. Caruso’s experience at the top of Italian football adds an important layer of knowhow to a receiving corps that already has plenty of talent.

A roster taking shape

The Red Lions‘ general manager continues to work hard in building out the roster ahead of the franchise’s first ever season. With each new addition the picture in Florence becomes clearer, and the signing of Caruso is another step in the right direction as the team prepares to make its mark in the American Football League Europe.
