London Warriors sign former Britball MVP Andy Owusu

The London Warriors have added another experienced homegrown talent to their backfield, signing British running back Andy Owusu. Owusu returns to the Warriors after most recently playing for the club and brings an impressive list of accolades to the London roster.

A decorated career in British football

Owusu has established himself as one of the most accomplished running backs in British football over the course of his career. His crowning moment came when he was named MVP of Britball XXXVI, helping his team claim the championship in the process. He also earned BUCSsport American Football National Trophy MVP honors in 2019 and was inducted into the Coventry University Jets Hall of Fame the same year, recognition of the impact he made during his time there.

Professional recognition at the highest level

Owusu’s talent extended beyond the British game, earning him back-to-back invitations to the NFL International Player Pathway Program in 2021 and 2022. He was also selected in the 2022 CFL Global Draft, further underlining his standing as one of the top British running backs of his generation. He has also represented the Great Britain Lions at international level and previously gained experience with the Madrid Bravos.

With Owusu on board, the London Warriors have assembled a backfield with serious depth and quality ahead of their inaugural AFLE season.
