Italian import linebacker Tiberio Calbucci joins the Paris Lights

The Paris Lights have found their next defensive addition, signing Italian linebacker Tiberio Calbucci. Calbucci brings 15 seasons of football experience and a proven track record across multiple leagues to the Paris defensive corps.

A decorated career across Europe

Calbucci has represented clubs across Italy, Denmark and Austria throughout his long career, with stops at the Bologna Warriors, Sollerod Gold Diggers in Denmark, the Milano Seamen and most recently the Innsbruck Raiders. His achievements along the way include a Silverbowl championship and MVP of the final in 2018, as well as international recognition at youth level, having been named MVP of the Italy vs Denmark U19 game in 2019 and earning a place in the All-Tournament team at the U19 final four in Paris in 2017.

Productive seasons in European football

Across his three most recent seasons with the Milano Seamen and the Innsbruck Raiders, Calbucci appeared in 31 games and recorded 115 tackles, four sacks, 13 tackles for loss, five pass breakups and a fumble return. Those numbers paint the picture of a complete and versatile linebacker who can make an impact in all areas of the defensive game.

With Calbucci on board, the Paris Lights continue to assemble a deep and experienced defensive unit ahead of their debut season in 2026.
