Former CFL player Valentin Gnahoua signs with the Paris Lights

The Paris Lights continue building their roster after recently announcing David Shelton as head coach. The franchise has now secured a strong homegrown player with the signing of Valentin Gnahoua.

Gnahoua brings experience and proven performance to the team. In 2019, he was selected as the first overall pick in the CFL European Draft by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Strong performances in recent seasons

Over the past three seasons, Gnahoua played for the Musketeers and delivered consistent performances on defense. In 29 games, he recorded 52 tackles, 4.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, two pass breakups, and four forced fumbles.

His ability to disrupt opposing offenses made him an important part of the defensive unit.

Impact in important moments

Gnahoua also proved his value during the 2024 postseason. During the Musketeers’ playoff run, he delivered key plays in two games, recording two sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss.

These performances highlighted his ability to step up in crucial moments and make an impact when it matters most.

With Valentin Gnahoua joining the roster, the Paris Lights add a talented homegrown defender who brings experience, physicality, and playmaking ability to the team.
