Experienced linebacker David Izinyon joins the London Warriors

The London Warriors continue to build their linebacker corps, signing British veteran David Izinyon ahead of their inaugural AFLE season. Izinyon brings a wealth of professional experience from both sides of the Atlantic to the London roster.

A career at the highest level

Izinyon has played professional football at a high level throughout his career, including a stint with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League. He then made his way back to Europe, lining up for the Berlin Thunder and the Rostock Griffins before returning to his home country to join the London Warriors. That combination of CFL experience and time across multiple European programs makes him one of the more experienced homegrown players in the Warriors‘ squad.

A linebacker group taking shape

With Izinyon now on board, the London Warriors‘ linebacker corps continues to grow in both depth and quality. The talented group of linebackers being assembled in London is shaping up to be one of the strengths of the team heading into the 2026 season.
