Berlin Thunder bring back Kyle Kitchens as defensive analyst

After announcing their new Head Coach Shawn Cooper and Defensive Coordinator Raúl Saavedra, Berlin Thunder have added another member to their coaching staff. Former Thunder player Kyle Kitchens returns to the organization, this time taking on the role of defensive analyst.

With this move, the team brings in a familiar face who knows the club and adds valuable experience to the defensive staff.

From star player to coaching role

Kyle Kitchens previously played for Berlin Thunder and made a strong impact on the field, especially as a defensive lineman. Now, he moves into a new position off the field, where he will support the coaching staff with analysis, preparation, and defensive strategy.

His understanding of the game and his experience as a player are expected to help the team improve its defensive performance.

Award-winning defensive talent

In recent years, Kitchens established himself as one of the top defensive players in European football. He won the Defensive Player of the Year award three times, highlighting his dominance and consistency on the field.

That success and knowledge now move with him into his new role as a defensive analyst.

Strengthening the Thunder staff

By bringing back Kyle Kitchens, Berlin Thunder continue to build a strong coaching and support staff for the upcoming season. His connection to the club and his defensive expertise make him a valuable addition as the team prepares for the challenges ahead.
