American Football League Europe Names cool down as Official Supply Partner and Official Recovery Partner

The American Football League Europe (AFLE) today announced a new league-wide partnership
with cool down, the cryotherapy brand redefining recovery for athletes, sports teams and
rehabilitation. Under the agreement, cool down has been appointed Official Supplier and Official
Recovery Partner of the AFLE and will equip the medical personnel of every AFLE team with its
reusable cooling system — giving league physiotherapists and team doctors immediate, controlled
cooling on the sideline, on the road and in the treatment room.

Cool Down — Built to Recover. Code AFLE

Recovery, Performance and Regeneration — Reimagined

cool down brings modern cryotherapy into the daily routine of athletes, teams and rehabilitation programs. The system delivers instant, long-lasting cooling — without a freezer, ice packs or prechilling— and can be worn flexibly during movement. The brand is positioned firmly in the recovery, performance and regeneration space, combining simple application with a modern, sports-driven approach that supports faster recovery and active regeneration. “Player Safety is our top priority, and with cool down we have found the perfect recovery partner to support our athletes’ regeneration at the highest level,” said Jens Lehmann, Vice President Sales of the AFLE.

A Cooling System Built for Pro-Sports

At the heart of the partnership is cool down ICE FLUID, a clinically tested cooling formula mixed 1:5 with water and applied via a reusable cotton bandage. The result is a controlled, even cooling effect of up to two to three hours without overcooling the tissue, no freezer required, and with full freedom of movement throughout the application.

Designed for both immediate first aid after acute injuries and regular use in training, post-match recovery and rehabilitation, the system is already trusted across clinics, orthopaedic centres, physiotherapy practices and elite sport. With this partnership, cool down now becomes the leaguewide standard for cooling and recovery in the medical units of all AFLE teams.

“Our mission is to sustainably improve the healing process after injury through superior cooling. With cool down ICE FLUID, we unlock the full potential of cryotherapy, clinically proven, risk-free and ready to use at any moment,” said Michael Senn, Managing Director of cool down Germany. “We develop solutions that are simple to apply and at the same time deliver measurably better results than conventional cooling methods. For an active and motivating recovery, as well as regeneration after demanding physical performance! Our goal: optimal healing through simple, sustainable and scientifically grounded measures.”
