About the Event

The first AFLE game away from home

For the first time in league history, an AFLE regular season game is played on neutral ground — outside the home markets of both competing franchises. Rhein Fire and the London Warriors leave their stadiums behind and meet on an island in the Mediterranean.

It is Week 14, the last stretch before the postseason, and both teams arrive with playoff football on the horizon. That makes the Battle at the Beach more than an exhibition on a nice backdrop: it is a full-weight league fixture with a playoff preview attached.

“We are very proud to welcome the AFLE and the Battle at the Beach to the Estadio Balear.”

Patrick MessowGeneral Director, CD Atlético Baleares

The Venue

Estadio Balear, Palma

Home of CD Atlético Baleares, the Estadio Balear sits in the north of Palma de Mallorca and holds 6,500 spectators. Compact, steep and close to the field — the kind of ground where a full house is felt rather than just counted.

Venue: Estadio Balear
Capacity: 6,500
Location: Palma de Mallorca, Spain
Kickoff: Saturday, 22.08.2026 · 8 PM CET

Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) is roughly 15 minutes by car from the stadium and is served directly from every AFLE market.
From Palma city centre, the ground is a short taxi ride or a bus connection towards Camí dels Reis.
Gates open ahead of the 8 PM CET kickoff — plan for the walk-up queue on a sold-out night.
